Ruthie, USPTA P-2, is originally from Roswell, GA & began playing tennis at the age of 7. As a junior player, Ruthie maintained a top Georgia ranking as well as rankings at the Southern & National level. From 1995-1999, Ruthie played tennis for the University of Denver on a full-athletic scholarship & graduated with a B.A. in Communications.

Her tennis-teaching career began as a junior when she worked for her coach, Jerry Baskin, as an assistant teaching pro. During her college career, Ruthie taught at tennis clubs in both Denver & Los Angeles. Prior to joining the PCTC staff in July 2006, Ruthie worked at The Weather Channel for 6 years.

When not teaching or playing tennis, Ruthie enjoys spending time with her husband & their two dogs.
